In celebration of National Poetry Month and LA Arts Month in April, Metro Art Los Angeles is pleased to present the Los Angeles debut of “The Poet Is In,” an interactive poetry exchange at Union Station inspired by a program originally conceived by poet Marie Howe in New York.
“The Poet Is In” features 12 Los Angeles-based poets who will collaborate with station visitors to create personalized poems. Participating poets include William Archila, Lory Bedikian, Laurel Ann Bogen, Elena Karina Byrne, Jessica Ceballos, Brendan Constantine, Nicelle Davis, Kim Dower, liz gonzalez, Steve Petersen, Lynne Thompson, and Cecilia Woloch. Poetry sessions will be accompanied by Colburn School students performing classical music.
