Prose poems are being published by more journals and presses than ever, but what makes this boundary crossing form stand out? In this workshop we’ll discuss examples of prose poems that vary in tone and subject. We’ll discover what happens when a poem, free of line breaks, uses elements of both poetry and prose to create something new and adventurous. Hands-on exercises will provide opportunities to shake up your writing and have fun with this form. Class size: 12 writers.
