Diane Gilliam is the author of four collections of poetry: Dreadful Wind & Rain (forthcoming from Red Hen in Spring 2017), Kettle Bottom (Perugia Press, 2004), One of Everything (Cleveland Poets Series, 2003), and Recipe for Blackberry Cake (chapbook). She holds an MFA from Warren Wilson College and a PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures from Ohio State University. She has received an Individual Artist Grant from the Ohio Arts Council, the Chaffin Award for Appalachian Writing, and a Pushcart Prize. She is the most recent recipient of the Gift of Freedom from the A Room of Her Own Foundation.
Ellen Doré Watson’s most recent book is Dogged Hearts (Tupelo Press, 2010). Her work has appeared in The American Poetry Review, Tin House, Orion, and The New Yorker, and Alice James Books will publish her fifth full-length collection next year. Among her honors are a Rona Jaffe Writers Award, fellowships to the MacDowell Colony and to Yaddo, and a NEA Fellowship to translate Brazilian poet Adélia Prado. Watson serves as poetry editor of The Massachusetts Review, director of the Poetry Center at Smith College, and teaches in the Drew University Low-Residency MFA program in poetry and translation.
