Please join 2017-2019 Tacoma Poet Laureate, Kellie Richardson, and the Tacoma Arts Commission for Pass the Torch, a poetry and music event. The event will include live performances by Kellie Richardson, 2015-2017 Tacoma Poet Laureate Thy Nguyễn, emerging poet and UWT student Byron Gaines II., Sady Sparks, and winner of the 2019-2021 Tacoma Poet Laureate competition, Abby E. Murray, who will officially be awarded the position. Light refreshments will be served and attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a hands-on project. Cost: Free. Pass the Torch is hosted by Tacoma Arts Live.
